In and Out the BOX

Hey Followers

Todays topic is about traveling out of our comfort zones then turning around and running right back to our happy little corner, safe from any responsibility we may have to take on, safe from any risk we could take, safe from actually living an incredabe life.

I went out yesterday to a friends farewell picnic and before I went I was super scared and didn't want to go, why?
Because I only knew a couple of people that were going to this farewell. So I was really scared of making a fool of myself. But after the first introductions I settled in quite comfortably and began to open up.

This just shows that FEAR can hit you at any time and cripple you into not doing what you would really like to do. If I had decided not to go, I wouldn't have met new people with amazing stories, I would have sat at home surfing the internet. I wouldn't have had so much fun.
So I think we should all make a habit of doing something different or a little bit scary at least once a day.
Who knows, it could just change your life. ;)

Back To Basics....

I am disgusted with myself for not blogging until now. Oh well, no point crying over spilt milk.
This year there will be alot of changes... in peoples lives, in fashion, even in the music field.
But we shall stick to the fashion side of things today.
The picture I chose is to represent going back to when we made our clothes, back to when women were feminine. I'm not saying that you should go out and buy yourself a sewing machine, some fabric and start making your own clothes, but I'm just referring to a time when women were women. Women have become very strong and powerful in the world of men, and this has made us become cold and hard along the way, but just because you are trying to fit in with the guys doesn't mean you have to dress like them!!!!
Its time to pull out those dresses, pencil skirts with a ruffled blouse, or just a simple Audrey Hepburn 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' black dress.
I hope you will be inspired to be the gentler version of yourself today.

If I'm honest I have to tell you I still read fairy-tales and I like them best of all.

Scarves of the Night

I just recently did an essay on subcultures, what we had to do was choose a specific subculture that we see today and write about it.

I chose Harajuku Girls!!!!

It was so fascinating to learn about them, and how diverse the clothing style can be.

Makes me long for Japan....

Anyway, i have posted a pic of one of the Harajuku Girls that can be found at Takeshita Dori (Takeshita Street) almost every sunday.
